This summers trip to Uganda was incredibly exciting and saw us hit the ground running with 25ZERO.

Part of the trip was a visit to the Mother’s Union in Rukungiri. 65 teenage girls who haven’t been able to stay in school or even their homes for any number of reasons live here.

They board and are well loved, fed and cared for. They’re given the opportunities to learn new skills to help them succeed when they leave.

They have no access to sanitary products and so the girls here were the perfect starting point for us.

Because of the generosity of partner schools and friends we were able to drop off enough kits of most of the girls (the rest are on their way!).

Every kit Includes a washable, breathable bag, a range of reusabale sanitary liners and pads, waterproof instructions and 25zero wristbands.

The girls were so excited to receive their kits, they clapped and cheered as they were handed their gifts.

For just £25, every girl here now has access to a sustainable product that will change their life. Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to make this difference.

Next year we hope to take many more kits with us. Will you join us? Our founders, Nicole & Ian Richardson run the project in partnership with Mission Direct and their business, Schudio. To find out more please email hi@project25zero.org or ian@schudio.com.
